The books that picked me

Have you had a book pick you before? The books that I end up loving the most are almost all the ones that picked me.

This time Bungalow 2 by Danielle Steel. I went to LA this last weekend to do a garage sale together with my sister of all our stuff that we left while moving. A friend of my sister’s came by to sell some of her stuff too and voulá! I decided to grab some of her books by Danielle Steel, I read one of her books long time ago and I remembered loving it so why not try some others, and I started it and I’m hooked!

The funny thing is how I picked it: the best cover design. Yes, no reading of the back cover, nothing. Just pretty colors, nice layout, why not give it a try? That design certainly picked me!

And the other two I picked because Malice convinced me just with the title and I usually wouldn’t like to read Dan Brown in Spanish but I love him so maybe the language won’t matter this time…

I do have a pile of books at home waiting for me too, remember when I bought Paula? Well, I still have not started it!! Ay ya yai! But Bungalow 2 is winning at the moment!

Judging a book by it's cover

Alguna vez te ha escojido un libro? La mayoría de los libros que me escojen son los que muchas veces me terminan gustando más que a los que yo los escojo.
Esta vez me escojió Bungalow 2 de Danielle Steel. Fuí a LA este fin de semana que pasó a hacer un garage sale con mi hermana de todas las cosas que habíamos dejado en la casa antes de mudarnos y resulta que una amiga de ella fué a vender alguna de sus cosas en la venta y entre ellas estaban unso libros de los cuales yo decidí agarrar. Yo había leido Danielle Steel hace bastante tiempo ya y me había gustado bastante así que agarrá para probar.
Lo cómico es que yo lo escojí por el mejor diseño de carátula que vi! Nada de leer de que se trata, no, me llamaraon la atención los colores, la composición, porqué no probar ese? Definitivamente me escojió entre los demás que no hicieron ningún esfuerzo, ja ja!
Y los otros 2 los escojí  poque Malice simplemente me interesó el título y normalmente no me gustaría leer Dan Brown en español pero pensé si me gusta tanto mejor intento, a lo mejor no importa el idioma!

Aquí en la casa tengo unos cuantos esperando, se acuerdan de cuando compré Paula? Bueno, todavía no lo he terminado de empezar! Pero por ahora Bungalow 2 va ganando!

    I love it! I *do* feel like books pick us sometimes–and a book cover/design can definitely get me to grab it at the store or library! I read Digital Fortress awhile back, and I've read Danielle Steele, but not for awhile–fun reads! Does this mean you're tired of "Where's Maisie?" Hee!
