• 4 letters: MAMA
This is music to my ears!!! Even when he’s yelling it really hard (it might annoy other people), I can feel butterflies in my stomach. The other day he even say “bye bye mama” (with the cutest voice I’ve ever heard and without anybody telling him to say so) and waved at me! I know, I know, you must think this is just normal, kids do this, but it feels so amazing and great when your own son is doing it!
• Going out to get a coffee with Derek and Adrian
I enjoy coffee a lot and these warm days I love to have an iced latte; now a days, Adrian has to have something too, so we get him a little vanilla drink or whatever is available for him and he drinks it so happily! I looove these special times together just the 3 of us!
• Cuddling with Adrian
He does this so well now, he hugs me and stares at me being quiet and just experiencing the moment. My eyes get watery all the time or I melt in the chair sometimes.
• Showing Adrian a picture of me and Derek
And I ask him who is this? and he says: mama and Da.
• Teaching Adrian a new word
This is one of my most favorites, it’s amazing the stage he’s at right now, this past weekend he learned how to say parque (park), mango, hug and up. he learns them just from a couple of times of me repeating them and he already knows the meaning! It’s just fascinating!
• A hug
I say: -Adrian give me a hug. He then repeats “a hug” and gives me one! One of these a day is necessary for me to survive, I can live without anything but without this, no way 😉
• Watching Adrian enjoy food
One of his favorites foods is broccoli! I’m so proud of that!! He really seems to enjoy every bite of food he puts in his mouth. There are a few exceptions, like I can’t understand how he doesn’t enjoy plantains though?? So deliciously sweet!! Maybe he’ll change that one in the future!
