Maya and Mami love Baby Einstein {Giveaway}

As soon as Disney offered me to review these new Baby Einsteins products I said YES! And it’s because Maya really loves Baby Einsteins DVDs and of course me too. I had some for Adrian since he was a baby but for some reason I didn’t use them as much with him. I added new ones for Maya and in total I had about 5. Well, little by little these have become Maya’s favorite thing to watch, she laughs, she dances she and really pays attention to what is happening on the TV. It does help me out sometimes when I need to do dishes or cook dinner too.

I know that many parents are opposed to let babies watch TV when they are so little. My point of view is that it is good as long as it is handled with moderation, cause even if you have the best educational TV, if you let your child watch it for 5 hours a day, it starts sending another message. So this is my opinion.

My favorite thing about the Baby Einstein’s products is the music. It’s such a great way to introduce classical music to children, they are engaged with it and the music is specially made for their ears, the Baby Einstein classical music doesn’t just play a regular version of a Symphony for babies, they do a simpler-easier-for-their-ears version. It’s genius! And if you don’t know their products history, you can read a little here, it was invented by a mom Julie Clark.

These new products are so advanced now! The ones I had for Adrian where just a DVD. These are part of a new thing they call Discovery Kit. They go by levels/ages. They include a nice guide brochure that explains it very well. I took a picture of each product so you can see what comes with it (You can see it through the post). They each have a DVD and a CD, plus they each come with something extra like a book or discovery cards. I’m really amazed and even now that Maya is a year old she still watched the ones for little tiny babies and enjoys it. And I must say that when Adrian is there he likes to watch it too.

I love love love the fact that all the Baby Einstein products include a way to watch them in Spanish. These new ones are even improved because even the graphics have a written word, the word is in Spanish (See Maya’s picture with the red curtain screen). If there are songs with words, these songs are sung in Spanish! Even the intro at the beginning by Julie Clark is in Spanish. It’s really nice! The only thing is that on the menu is not that easy to look for the language. You have to go to Set-up and then find it. Some of the older DVDs opened a language screen even before they showed the Main Menu, I thought that was the best.

I also love to look at the graphics in the packaging, as you might know I worked a lot on packaging design and I still do! So comparing the DVDs I had already to the new ones I noticed how their branding is now looking very true to what it started as, love the white and simple design, do you? They once seemed that they were going towards a more commercial direction and getting the covers very crowded (See the Baby Beethoven in my collection photo), but they kept it nice and clean plus modern looking, cool!

Lo que más me gusta a mi de los productos de baby Einstein en la música. Es una manera tan chévere de introducirle a los niños la música clásica, se involucran con ella, además está hecha especialmente para sus oidos, no es que le ponen cualquier versión de una simfonía por ejemplo, no, hacen una versión más sencilla de escuchar especial para bebés. De verdad es genial! Y si no saben acerca de su historia les recomiendo que lean un poquito aquí, fué inventado por una mamá: Julie Clark.

Me fascina el hecho de que todos los productos Baby Einstein vienen con opción de verlos en Español. Estos nuevos vienen mucho más adelantados porque hasta los gráficos que tienen palabras están traducidas al español (Ver por ejemplo la foto donde está Maya con la pantalla de una cortina roja). Si hay canciones donde cantan en inglés, las canciones están traducidas al español. Hasta la introducción donde Julie Clark habla, está traducida. Es bien bueno! Lo único que no me gusta es que en el menú no está facilmente accesible el cabio de lenguaje, hay que ir a set-up y luego buscar, me gustab más algunos otros que apenas pones el DVD aparece la pantalla para elejir el idioma antes de el menú principal.
