Design Talk: The Book of Life Movie {Giveaway}

I just love love love the graphics from this movie “The Book of Life”, ever since I saw the first poster I couldn’t take my eyes away from it. I think they have done a great job on the design and I’m so interested in watching the movie!
This movie probably took longer to make than other animated movies because of so much color and detail involved in the images in my opinion. I would have loved to work on this for sure. I like how they are integrating the Día de los Muertos culture and symbols, I can’t wait to watch it to see how the story develops! It will be in theaters October 17, 2014.

But what is the movie The Book of Life about? Do you know? Here is a brief about it:

It is a vibrant fantasy-adventure from producer Guillermo del Toro and director Jorge Gutierrez, it tells the legend of Manolo, a conflicted hero and dreamer who sets off on an epic quest through magical, mythical and wondrous worlds in order to rescue his one true love and defend his village.

THE BOOK OF LIFE encourages us to celebrate the past while looking forward to the future.

Me fascinan los gráficos y el diseño de esta película “El Libro de la Vida”, desde que vi el primer poster como que no podía quitarle los ojos de encima. Me parece que han hecho un gran trabajo en el diseño y ¡ya quiero ir a ver la película! 

Esta película probablemente tomó más tiempo para hacerse que otras películas animadas, porque es que hay tanto color y detalle involucrado en las imágenes en mi opinión. Me hubiera encantado de trabajar haciendo diseñitos ahí. Me gusta mucho la forma en que han integrando la cultura y los símbolos del Día de los Muertos en los gráficos, ¡ya quiero ir a verla para ver cómo está todo integrado en la historia! Estará en los cines el 17 de octubre, 2014.



Pero de que se trata la película El libro de la vida? Aquí les traigo una breve reseña: 

Es una aventura con un estilo visual único del productor Guillermo del Toro y el director Jorge Gutierrez, cuenta el viaje de Manolo, un hombre joven que se debate entre cumplir las expectativas de su familia y seguir su corazón. Antes de elegir su camino, se embarcará en una aventura increíble que mezcla tres mundos fantásticos donde tendrá que enfrentarse a tus mayores temores. 

Divertida y con un toque musical único, El Libro de la Vida nos anima a celebrar el pasado mientras perseguimos nuestro futuro.

    I don't know very much about the story yet, but it's produced by Guillermo del Toro so I know it will be good. I also really like the colorful Day of the Dead artwork and theme.
