Cleaning, a necessity

I already mentioned how much there is going on right now around here; birthdays, guests, holidays and so on… Within all that there is always the cleaning, yes, the cleaning, not fun but a necessity. I want to share a couple of tips* that I always try to incorporate at home with Clorox, specially to get ready for our holiday fiestas!!! 

• For Adrian, and now Maya of course, I have to open up more room in their bedroom for new toys that “El Niño” and “Santa” will bring, so while I do that I usually clean the little corners of the shelf and even the floor corners and toys with Clorox Wipes or Clorox disinfectant and a sponge, this last one is what I use the most, I’m so used to grab a sponge and a spray bottle!! And wipes, are always practical for the times when I’m in a hurry.

• And, for all of us (adults and kids in the house), what we wear on Christmas Eve and New Year’s is SO important, well, even the PJs the kids wear the night of Christmas Eve are important!! So, I recently discovered the laundry detergent Clorox2 which I add a little bit to the color load and it helps maintain the color of our clothes, before what I would do is wash almost all color clothes by hand cause I was afraid of the washer and detergents (for real!) but now I just use a dab of this or if  need to take a stain out I’ll let the clothes rinse in some water with the Clorox 2 for about 30 min or more and then wash. That’s my best bet. 

–Long time ago I always nervous about using Clorox because I though it the bleach would damage but no, well it depends, not all the products are 100% bleach, plus bleach is so good to use to disinfect many things, but in this case, I don’t use bleach in colors! Just the Clorox 2!–

Do you have any special cleaning routines for the fiestas? Now I’m curious, I never thought about having a special cleaning routine myself but in the bottom we all do have something we always stick to no?

They always end up in their little hands, so I better clean! Siempre terminan en sus manitos así que mejor limpio!

This picture is better cause it’s harder to see the dust! LOL! But, right there on the edge of the shelf I always have to clean of course. Esta foto es mejor porque es más dificil de ver el sucio, jajaja! Pero, ahí en el borde del estante donde están los libros es donde siempre tengo que limpiar, of course!

• Para Adrian, y ahora también para Maya porsupuesto, les tengo que desocupar más espacio en su cuarto para unos cuantos juguetes que traerá “El Niño” y Santa, y cuando hago eso tengo que limpiar todos los recobecos que encuentre y también los jueguetes, usualmente lo hago con las toallitas Clorox, es lo más práctico de usar, porque lo más común para mi es agarrar una esponja y un spray desinfectante y así limpio, pero de verdad las toallitas son super practicas con tantos juguetes y rincones.

• Y para todos nosotros (adultos y niños en la casa!), lo que nos ponemos el 24 y el 31 es muy importante, hasta las piyamas del 24 para los niños son bien importantes! Usualmente algo de estreno, pero si no es así, recientemente descubrí el detergente Clorox 2, se usa para ropa de colores y para manchas, to lo que hago es que pongo un poquito en la lavadora además del detergente normal y me gusta como cuida los colores. De verdad que yo le temía a meter la ropa de color en la lavadora y yo lavaba casi todo lod e color a mano (de verdad!!) pero ahora con estos truquitos me he soltado un poco. Y si tengo una mancha en alguna ropa la dejo remojando una media hora o más en agua con un poco de Clorox 2 y la quita rápido, después la lavo normal y ya.

Ven el sucio (y el pelo!!!)?? Arghhh, aprovechen porque no todos los días muestro esto, jajaja!

Ustedes tienen alguna rutina especial para limpiar antes de las Navidades o de las Fiestas? Ahora estoy curiosa, nunca pensé que yo tenía alguna rutina en especial pero creo que al final todos tenemos una a la que siempre recurrimos sin pensarlo, como que está engranada en uno, no?
