The world will open up!

I am really enjoying this new stage with Adrian being in school, I love to see him learning and knowing that the a big new world is opening up for him.

It reminds me a lot of what my mom always told me regarding my education: “Find your passion, learn it and make it yours, that way nobody will ever be able to take it away from you”. This is true, once you do what you love, this will fulfill you in so many ways. Even if you are alone, even if you are lost, you will be able to keep going with what you learned and the world will open up!

But to be able to find your passion I think it is so important to have an education, a basic structure, a guide. I see Adrian learning to read and write and I start to imagine all the possibilities that come only from being literate, it’s really amazing and it’s no joke! It feels great! Its great to be living it again through him.

Adrian is loving school, he stays up late trying to write a list of words and trying to read his new book that he picked himself and borrowed from the library at school. I hope this is not a first time excitement thing and that he keeps being excited and eager to learn. I do know I will always be here making sure he finds his true calling, his passion. I can see now how education is one of the greatest gifts we can give our children, I will keep supporting them and direct them always to be the best they can be… And can I say it again? I am so excited!!

Estoy disfrutando muchísimo esta nueva etapa en la que Adri está en el colegio, me encanta ver como prende y saber que hay un mundo inmenso que se le está abriendo por delante.

Me recuerda mucho a lo que mi mamá siempre me decía con respeto a mi educación: “Encuentra tu pasión, aprende y hazla tuya, de esa manera nadie te la podrá quitar nunca, estará contigo siempre” Esto es verdad, una vez que haces lo que te gusta, esto te llena muchísimo, aunque estés solo o sola siempre tendrás lo que aprendiste contigo y todo un mundo se abrirá en tu camino!

Pero para poder encontar lo que a uno le apasiona creo que es super importante tener una educación, una estructura base, una guía. Yo veo a Adrian aprendiendo a leer y a escribir y empiezo a imaginarme todas las posibilidades que vienen sólo con el hecho de saber leer y escribir, de verdad es impresionante, emocionante y tan importante! Es chévere vivirlo de nuevo a través de él.

Adrian está fascinado con el colegio, con sus tareas, se acuesta tarde esribiendo listas de palabras y leyendo su libro nuevo que escogió el solito en la biblioteca del colegio. Espero que todo esto no sea solo porque es algo nuevo pero que siga emocionado de aprender. Yo si se que siempre estaré aquí pendiente asegurándome de que encuentre lo que le apasiona, de que se realize como persona. Ahora más que nunca me doy cuenta de que la educación es el mejor regalo que le podemos dar a nuestros hijos, los seguiré apoyando y los seguiré dirigiendo a que tengan una buena educación… Y lo podré decir de nuevo?! Esto es emocionante!!
