If you come to San Diego you’ll realize really quickly that there are lots of mexican places to eat and some of them have a really strong personality like Jimmy Carter’s for example. As soon as I spotted the place while driving by I knew I wanted to go in and check it out!
Well, it didn’t disappoint, it’s a fun mexican café, the decoration has strong and bold colors, hey and they not only serves coffee (since the sign says Mexican Café), it’s a full restaurant and bar, it has a breakfast, lunch and dinner menu.
It is fun and festive in there, it is family friendly and I assure you that you wont be bored looking around or eating. I stopped by with Adrian after his summer camp which is close-by and we ordered some dessert, ice-cream and a churro. While this is not the main thing that Jimmy Carter’s serves it is still yummy and why not stop by for some churros only? They have cajeta filled churros too, yum!

Si un día visitan San Diego se darán cuenta rápidamente que la ciudad está llena de restaurancitos mexicanos de todo tipo y entre ellos hay unos que tienen una personalidad fuerte y llamativa así como Jimmy Carter’s, el restaurante del que les quiero hablar hoy en la serie de lugares chéveres de San Diego. Inmediatamente que lo ví al pasar por ahí dije, no tengo que entrar a ver que tal es adentro!
Y si, no me decepcionó, es chévere adentro, con muchos colores, la decoración me encantó, además no sirven nada más café que era lo que pensaba porque dice “Mexican Café” el nombre, sirven de todo, tienen un menú completo de desayuno, almuerzo y cena y hasta tienen un bar.
Es un restaurante agradable y chévere para ir con la familia, les aseguro que no se aburrirán ahí adentro mientras que est´na comiendo porque hay tanto que ver. Cuando fuí me llevé a Adri conmingo, pasamos un día después de su campamento de verano porque está cerquita, nosotros queríamos postre y pedimos helado y un churro aunque bueno, hay mucha más comida y ellos sirven de todo pero para que vean que pueden ir a comerse un postrecito nada más, les recomiendo los churros pero los que están rellenos de cajeta!
