I am so excited for the World Soccer Championship this summer! It’s almost here!
Adrian has played 3 seasons of Soccer and he loves it still. Right now he is doing Karate but I believe he will go back to Soccer as soon as we can get him to it. That makes me proud 🙂
Even though in this family we are not huge sports followers, one of the sports I CAN and LOVE to follow is the Soccer during the World Cup, I LOVE it but my favorite part about it is getting together with family and friends.
I have such great memories about those get-togethers back in the days. Imagine, we (Venezuelans) don’t even have a soccer team competing in the World Cup but we have always supported other Latin countries, especially Brazil, Argentina or Spain. When any of those teams wins we go out on the streets and do a parade, it would seem like our own team won!
When the games where going on during working hours, we took a TV and place it in our offices so we could watch the games while working! Good thing we were all designing so it was easy!
I thought it would be fun to share a game that Coca-Cola® has made available at the DollarGeneral.com website: Going for the Goal. It’s a fun interactive soccer game: you have to select your preferred team and play in a series of soccer matches and rounds against opponent teams to win the championship tournament. Each “match” is only 1.5 minutes long, you take turns being the kicker or the goalie.
I think the fun part is choosing a team, I first chose Brazil of course! Give it a try and let me know what you choose? I’m curios!! Go check out Going for the Goal!

Estoy emocionada por el Mundial de Fútbol que ya se acerca rapidito!
Adrian ha jugado 3 temporadas de fútbol ya todavía le encanta.Ahorita está haciendo karate pero creo que volverá a fútbol en cuanto lo podamos volver a inscribir. La verdad eso me enorgullece, que le encante el futbol 🙂
A pesar de que en esta familia que no somos muy fanáticos de ver deportes en la tele, uno de los deportes que me encanta seguir es el mundial de futbol, me fascina, pero mi parte favorita de todo es reunirnos a ver los partidos con amigos y familia.
Tengo tan buenos recuerdos de todas esas reuniones, imagínense, nosotros (los venezolanos) ni siquiera tenemos un equipo de futbol que compite en el Mundial, pero siempre hemos apoyado a otros países latinos, especialmente Brasil, Argentina o España.
Incluso cuando los partidos eran durante las horas de trabajo, nos llevábamos una tele y la poníamos en nuestras oficinas para que pudiéramos ver los partidos mientras trabajábamos! Lo bueno es que todos estábamos diseñando así que era fácil!
Pensé que sería divertido compartir un juego que Coca-Cola® tiene en el sitio web DollarGeneral.com: Se llama Tras el Gol. Es un juego de futbol interactivo: Hay que seleccionar un equipo preferido y jugar en una serie de partidos y rondas contra equipos oponentes para ganar el campeonato. Cada “partido” dura a sólo 1 minuto y medio, se toma turnos para ser defensor o portero.
Creo que la parte más divertida es escoger con que equipo juegas, el primero que elegí fue Brasil por supuesto! Te invito a que lo pruebes y me digas cuál equipo elegiste? Me da curiosidad! Aquí puedes ir a jugar “Tras el Gol”.
Ah, y porsupuesto que les tengo que mencionar de los diseños, me encantó el estilo y los colores fuertes!
