Collecting Memories: A Special Photo Project

Dec 1, 2014: Adrian discovered he can carry Maya piggyback, they had fun for a while! – Adrian descubrió que puede cargar a Maya de caballito, se divirtieron por un buen rato!

While looking for pictures to create these photo ornaments and looking for Adrian’s birthday timeline I spent lots of time remembering many many moments with the kids just by looking at the photos, it always so cool to go remember!! 

But I also noticed I didn’t have enough! Ha! Me, the photographer that sometimes annoys all the family doesn’t have enough! 

Well, let me explain. I thought there weren’t enough photos of those little moments, almost so insignificant of our day-to-day that we use to take of the kids when they were babies and not much now. It’s what Instagram is now but I miss having more of those “moments” with the big camera.

I will take one photo each day during all December 2014, I’ll come and post 2, 3 more at a time here but I’ll post them all and give a little insight to what was happening. I love that little insight because I know I’ll forget in the future. Also, the beauty of these photos is that they will be daily moments, sometimes not pretty, and with little to no edition. We’ll all get to see the daily lives of these 2 siblings.

What I started doing is making sure I have my camera around all charged and ready. And I even take photos of other things, it’s nice to look at them later and remember how our decorations were or what a mess we had! Also, some photos might not be the exact day but they will all be very close enough -Just thought I had to clarify this!-.

Dec 2, 2014:  Something that usually happens while eating – Algo que usualmente pasa mientras come

Mientras buscaba fotos para crear estos ornamentos y para el timeline del cumpleaños de Adrian me pasé un montón de tiempo recordando muchos muchos momentos con los niños con sólo ver las fotos, siempre es tan chévere quedaaarse viendo las fotos.

Pero también me di cuenta de que no tenía suficientes! ¡Ja! Ya se, yo la fotógrafa de la familia que a veces los tiene a monte molestándolos a todos para una foto ¡y no tengo suficiente! ¡Quién lo diría!

Pero déjenme explicarles. El asunto es que me parece que no hay suficientes fotos bonitas de esos pequeños momentos, que son casi tan insignificantes de nuestro día a día que antes solíamos tomar muchas más cuando los niños eran bebés y ahora ya no. Es en lo que a lo mejor se ha convertido Instagram ahora, pero con todo y eso me hace falta tener más foticos de esos “momentos” con la cámara grande.

Voy a tomar una foto cada día durante todo el mes de diciembre de este año 2014, vendré aquí a publicar unas 2, 3 o más juntitas, pero las publicaré todas por aquí y les pondré un textico acerca de lo que estaba pasando en ese momento para que quede aún más el recuerdo. Además, lo bello de estas fotos es que van a ser momentos cotidianos, a veces no tan bonito, y con poquita o ninguna edición. Todos vamos a poder ver la vida cotidiana de estos 2 hermanitos.

Lo que empecé a hacer es asegurarme de tener mi cámara a la mano TODO el tiempo y cargada. Y hasta he tomado fotos de otras cosas, es chévere verlas después y recordar cómo tenía decorada la casa o el desastre que había!! También, algunas fotos probablemente no correspondan exactamente al día, pero todas serán del mes (me pareció como necesario aclararlo).

Hoy les traigo las primeras fotos 1 y 2 de diciembre. ¡Espero que disfruten de los recuerdos que vamos coleccionando!
