Our mission in Dari Design is about infusing your day-to-day life and business with creativity of all kinds. So we wanted everybody to be inspired and to inspire others with this challenge.
How we came up with the challenge idea
They say you have to be really passionate about what you will be posting about in the challenge and at the same time, the movie “The Sound of Music” was in our minds a lot those days, and since this movie moves us so much, and we know that it does the same for many more people (specially the song
“My favorite Things”), we based the challenge on
favorite things! Don’t you think it’s perfect!? #Afavoritethingaday
The idea was to go along what the favorite things that the song points out and post photos, designs or illustrations of them each day, and if in some cases that favorite thing doesn’t move you, just post something favorite of yours!
My sister illustrated all 15 days of the challenge from the
Dari Design Instagram account and I participated with my personal account and with photos 🙂 I loved it, it’s nice to do these challenges, it helps you open your mind to different ways to think photography, to think about new subjects that you normally don’t think about in your day-to-day and to just be inspired every day!
I loved my final photo which is when the song goes …When the dog bites, when the bee stings, when I’m feeling sad, I simply remember my favorite things (I did a photo of the kids, see top photo!), and then I don’t feel so bad!

En Dari Design Studio (mi estudio de diseño) organizamos nuestro primer reto Instagram. ¡Fue bien divertido!!
Nuestra misión en Dari Design es de llenar de tu vida del día a día y de tu empresa con creatividad de todo tipo. Así que queríamos que todo el mundo se inspirara ustedes mismos también inspirar a otros con este reto.
Como tuvimos la idea del reto
Hemos escuchado mucho que tienes que tener mucha pasión por lo que vas a publicar sobre en el reto y, al mismo tiempo, nos estaba dando nostalgia de la película “La novicia rebelde” en esos momentos, y como esta película nos mueve tanto, y sabemos que a muchas más personas también (especialmente la canción
“Mis cosas favoritas”), decidimos entonces hacer el reto de
las cosas favoritas! ¿No crees que es perfecto!? #Afavoritethingaday

La idea fue ir a lo largo de las cosas favoritas que la canción nombra con fotos, diseños o ilustraciones cada día, y si en algunos casos esa cosa favorita la verdad no era favorita, simplemente se podía publicar algo parecido o cualquier otra cosa favorita que uno tenga!
Mi hermana ilustró todos los 15 días del reto en la cuenta Dari Design en Instagram y yo participé con mi cuenta personal y con fotos 🙂 A mi me encantó, es bueno hacer estos retos, te ayuda a abrir tu mente a diferentes maneras de pensar las fotos, de pensar en nuevos temas que normalmente no piensas en tu día a día y simplemente te inspira todos los días!
Me encantó mi foto final que es cuando la canción dice… Cuando te muerde un perro, cuando te pica una abeja, cuando te sientes triste, simplemente te recuerdas en tus cosas favoritas (yo puse una foto de los niñitos, ve la foto de arriba! ), y entonces no me siento tan mal!
