I wonder if I’m the only one that has always wanted to wear glasses even though I didn’t need them? I would put on a pair without any prescription, just to pretend. Until now that I really DO need them! Because of my age, I have presbyopia or long-sightedness. And I’m barely getting used to having to wear glasses for real.

So when We All Grow Summit announced their field trips and one of them was sponsored by Visionworks and Transitions, I joined right away!

I already had my new glasses before the event but I wanted to learn all about Transitions lenses.

And I did learn in a very fun way during the field trip. That’s why I want to share what we did with you today, I’m sure you’ll want to wear glasses just because too or if you do need glasses you’ll want to try Visionworks and Transitions!!

We left the hotel in a fancy “party bus”! It was fun because the seats were alongside the windows of the bus, not like regular shuttles of buses in rows, so we all got to see each other more and interact meanwhile traveling to Los Angeles (We departed from Long Beach).

They took us to a wonderful lunch at Gracias Madre, then we went to a cozy studio where Latina eyewear designers Coco and Breezy (twin sisters) did a storytelling session. Their story is very inspiring, they talked about how they started to create at very young age and how they moved to New York City at 19 to launch their fashion brand and we got to ask questions. The space was very intimate, it made for a great learning and inspirational day.

Some of the facts I learned about Transitions Lenses:

• There are different types of Transitions lenses, they vary depending on if you spend more time outdoors or indoors.
• You can apply it to almost any prescription, for example, I use progressives and I can have Transitions too!
• You can also change the color of the lens when it gets dark, they have three colors: gray, brown and graphite green.

I use them now daily and I can’t stop talking about them! I don’t even notice when they turn dark or back to regular, I want to get another pair just because having different frames is like getting dress every day, you don’t want to wear the same thing all the time!!

After the session with Coco and Breezy we got to pick a frame from Visionworks’ sample box, then we got a little makeup boost with makeup artists and a style consultation with Coco and Breezy in case you wanted to add accessories but they told me mine were very on point that day (Ahem! My favorite necklace that I made, remember?). All this to prepare each of us for a portrait photo shoot! So, the photos you see of me here in this post are taken by Oriana Gonzalez.

At the beginning of this field trip I was a little worried not to fit in because it was very fashion oriented and I’m not a fashion blogger but I loved it all, I think I fit in just perfectly and I’m glad I took the chance to join and be able to meet more fashion bloggers up close and model for a little bit of the day.

It was a little out of my comfort zone which is always a good thing to do! Thank you so much to We All Grow, Transition Lenses and Visionworks for “aweing” us with this field trip!!

UN PASEO CON TRANSITION LENSES Y VISIONWORKS DURANTE WE ALL GROW SUMMIT

¿Me pregunto si soy la única persona que siempre quiso tener lentes aunque no los necesitaba? Siempre me gustaba ponerme lentes aunque no tuviera aumento, sólo pretendía. Hasta que realmente los necesito hoy en día debido a mi edad, ya tengo presbicia y apenas me estoy acostumbrando a tener lentes de verdad verdad.

Así que cuando en la conferencia de We All Grow anunciaron los paseos que tendrían y uno de ellos estaba patrocinado por Visionworks y Transitions, ¡me anoté de inmediato!

Yo ya tenía mis lentes nuevos de hace algun tiempo antes del evento, pero quería aprender más acerca delos lentes con Transitions.

Y aprendí de una manera muy divertida durante el paseo. Es por eso que quiero compartir lo que hicimos hoy con ustedes, a lo mejor les provoca ponerse lentes así porque sí aunque no los necesiten?! O si sí los necesitan van a querer probar Visionworks y Transitions.

Salimos del hotel en un autobús de lujo (el “party bus”!). Fue muy chévere porque los asientos estaban todos pegados de los lados de las ventanas del autobús, no como los autobuses normales que tienen filas una atrás de als otras, así que todas las blogueras que fuimos teníamos como más chance de vernos las caras, conversar e interactuar más durante el trayecto a Los Ángeles (Partimos desde Long Beach).

Nos llevaron a un almuerzo riquísimo en el restaurante Gracias Madre, luego fuimos a un estudio super acogedor donde las diseñadoras de lentes latinas Coco y Breezy (gemelas) dieron una sesión. Su historia es muy inspiradora, hablaron de la forma en que empezaron a crear a muy temprana edad y de cómo a los 19 años se trasladaron a Nueva York para lanzar su marca de moda donde tuvieron un éxito instantáneo, después hubo sesión de preguntas y respuestas. El espacio era muy íntimo lo que ayudó a que el día fuera tan chévere lleno de inspiración y aprendizaje.

Estos son algunos de los datos que aprendí acerca de los lentes Transitions:

• Hay diferentes tipos de lentes Transitions, y varían dependiendo de si pasas más tiempo al aire libre o adentro de lugares.
• Los lentes Transitions se puede aplicar junto con casi cualquier receta o prescripción, por ejemplo, yo uso progresivos y puedo tener Transitions también!
• Pueden cambiar el color del lente cuando se hace oscuro, tienen tres colores: gris, marrón y verde de grafito.

Yo los uso todos los días y ahora no puedo dejar de hablar de ellos! Ni siquiera me doy cuenta cuando se ponen oscuros o se vuelven normales, ahora quiero otro par sólo para tener diferentes marcos porque es como vestirte todos los días, no queremos ponernos la misma cosa todo el tiempo no??!!

Después de la sesión con Coco y Breezy nos dieron a elegir un marco de la caja de muestras que llevó Visionworks, luego unaartistas de maquillaje nos retocaron a cada una y Coco y Breezy nos dieron una consulta personal de estilo en caso de que quisieras añadir algún accesorio a tu outfit ese día, aunque a mi me dijeron que yo estaba muy bien tal cual y no necesitaba nada extra (¡Ajem! llevaba mi collar favorito que hice, ¿se acuerdan?). Todo esto para prepararnos para una sesión de fotos a cada quien! Por lo tanto, las fotos que ves de mí aquí en este post son tomadas por Oriana González.

Al principio de este viaje yo estaba un poco preocupada de que no me sintiera cómoda en el paseo porque estaba bastante enfocado a moda y no soy una fashion blogger pero me super encantó todo, encajé como anillo al dedo y estoy contenta de haber aprovechado la oportunidad de unirme y de conocer a más fashion bloggers de cerca y ser modelo durante un ratico.
