Latina Magazine Party!!

A couple of weeks ago I made a flash trip to LA just to go to Latina Magazine’s 15th anniversary party. I couldn’t believe I was invited so Derek and all the family helped me out with the kids so I was able to make it.

I had lots of fun, I saw some of my bloguera friends, got to be touched-up by Cover Girl‘s makeup artists and take red carpet pictures. I didn’t take my camera but some of my friends did and Cover Girl also took nice pictures of all of us!

A lot of people shared what they remember when the first issue of Latina Magazine came but I wasn’t even living here in the States when that happened. When I came here (2001) the magazine was already between all magazines and I discovered it and I loved it. I was worried a couple of years ago when lots of magazines broke and closed and Latina’s issues where very thin but they recovered and they are the regular thickness now. I’m a regular subscriber and love it!

Hace unas semanas me fuí a Los Angeles en un viaje “flash” para asistir a la fiesta de aniversario de la revista Latina, 15 años!! No podía creer que estaba invitada, que chévere, así que Derek y toda la familia me aydaron con los niños y me pude ir.

Me divertí bastante, me hacía falta una noche así, estuve en la fiesta con algunas de mis amigas blogueras, me retocaron el maquillaje las artistas de Cover Girl y hasta nos tomaron fotos en la alfombra roja, que tal? Jajaja! No me llevé mi cámara pero algunas amigas tomaron fotos y la gente de Cover Girl también nos tomó a todas.

Mucha gente hablaba de lo que estaban haciendo cuando salió la primera revista, qu les emocionó y todo. Yo la verdad no se de eso porque aún no estaba viviendo aquí en EEUU. Cuando llegué a vivir aquí (en el 2001) ya la revista estaba entre todas las demás y yo la encontré y me gustó mucho. Hace unos añitos me acuerdo que estaba viviendo bien delgadita y me dió tristeza porque muchas otras revistas tuvieron que cerrar o quebraron en esa época pero LATINA se recuperó y ya está gordita como siempre. Yo estoy suscrita y me encanta!
