Last month, we went and celebrated Earth Day at Balboa park and one of the things we brought home were lady bugs! I didn’t even know they sold lady bugs. They are so cute that who can resist them right?
I learned that they eat Aphids, who are mites that eat flowers like roses, so they do a good thing to keep your flowers alive. We let them out in the patio, Adrian LOVED them and he was so excited. I loved to see him linking insects like that, cause he’s also very afraid of some just like me 🙂
El mes pasado fuimos a la celebración del día de la Tierra en Balboa park (me fascina por cierto!) y una de las cosas que trajimos de ahí fueron coquitos (o mariquitas!) Yo ni sabía que los vendían! Son tan cuchis que quien los resiste?
Aprendí que los coquitos comen Áfidos, son una plaga que come árboles y flores de jardín, así que si hay coquitos o mariquitas en tu jardín son de mucha ayuda. Nosotros las soltamos en el patio y Adrian FASCINADO, tan bello, a mi me encnató verlo así sin miedo a un insecto porque usualmente le tiene miedo a muchos como yo!
