Red Carpet event for Child Passenger Safety

I went to LA a couple of weeks ago and during my stay we were able to make it to this great event called “The Red Carpet event” It’s an event organized by the actress Ali Landry and Britax to teach Hollywood parent celebrities the importance of child passenger safety and seek their help in raising national awareness.

The event is held right before Child Passenger Safety week which is this week: Sept 17 until Sept 22.

Did you know?

• Traffic crashes are the leading cause of death in the United States for children from age 1 to 14.

• Proper installation and use of car seats will help keep children safe. 

• Yet, too many parents aren’t aware of how to properly use a car seat. And many more parents aren’t current on how state laws regulating car seat restraints are changing.

How can we help?

• Checking your child’s car seats. 

• Sharing this information with others.

There are always events all around the US where you can check if your car seat is safely installed or where they can install a seat for you. Check on the SafetyKids.org site!

We had so much fun while learning at the same time, I went with the kids and with my mom. They had different booths with products for the kids and babies, they had face painting, balloons, crafts and games. The kids had a blast as usual!! I was happy snapping pictures as usual too 🙂 I love when I go to new places, this was challenging because of the time, the sun was so bright! And taking pictures of architecture is not my fort but I love the challenge!

Hace unas semanas fuí a Los Angeles y tuve el oportunidad de asistir ese fin de semana a este evento que se llama “The Red Carpet event” (El evento de la Alfombra Roja). 

Es un evento organizado por la actriz Ali Landry y por Britax para enseñarle a las celebridades (que son padres) de Hollywood la importancia de la seguridad de los niños en los carros y que así ellos ayuden a aumentar conciencia en todo el pais.

El evento lo hacen justo antes de la Semana Nacional de la Seguridad Infantil en los Carros la cual es esta misma: 17 de sept. al 22 de sept.

Sabías que?

• Los accidentes de tránsito son la cause mayor de muerte infantil en los EEUU de los niños de 1 a 14

• La instalación adecuada dy el uso propio de los asientos de carros pueden ayudar mucho a que los niños estén más seguros.

• Y con todo y esto hay muchos padres que no están al tanto de cómo usar bien un asiento de carro. Y muchos más que no saben bien las leyes de los asientos de carros y como van cambiando.

Cómo podemos ayudar?

• Chequeando nuestros asientos infantiles de los carros.

• Compartiendo esta información con otros.

Existen muchos eventos alrededor de los EEUU donde se puede ir a chequear la instalación de los asientos o donde nos pueden instalar un asiento. Pueden ir a la página de SafetyKids.org para ver si hay uno cerca de uds!

Nos divertimos mucho y al mismo tiempo aprendimos, fuí con los niños y con mi mamá. Tenían varios stands de diferentes productos para niños y bebés, estaban pintando la cara de los niñitos, tenían globos, manualidades y juegos. Los niños fascinados y yo contenta tomando muchas fotos. Me encanta ir a lugares nuevos y diferentes y tener nuevos retos para tomar fotos, esta vez el sol estaba super fuerte y la luz fué dificil. Además tomé unas cuantas de arquitectura, lo cual no es mi fuerte pero me encantó!
