This is my latest craft for Día de los Muertos, I love how it turned out! You won’t believe how easy they are to make and kids can definitely help on making these.

I have used them on our altar and they look great. They can also be used to decorate any little corner of your house, I think they will look cute and if your kids help they will be proud to see their creations displayed at home.

HERE IS THE STEP-BY-STEP ON MAKING THESE MINI SKULL PAINTINGS:

SUPPLIES:

• Mini canvas and easel sets (you can find them at any craft store)
• Craft paint in vibrant colors
• Foam brush
• Silver Sharpie

INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Paint each mini canvas with a different vibrant color each. Use 2 tones of one color on each canvas, for example, for the red canvas we used orange and red together, the background will look richer. For the green, we used light green and yellow. Let them dry completely.
2. Draw the skulls with the Sharpie very carefully on the painted canvases, they will come to life immediately!!

MINI PINTURAS DE CATRINAS

Hoy les traigo esas mini pinturas para decorar en el Día de los Muertos. La verdad son muy fáciles de hacer. Las pueden hacer con los niños!

Yo las he usado en nuestro altar y se ven preciosas, pero también se verían lindas en un rinconcito de la casa y si los niños las hacen seguro que se sentirán orgullosos de verlas como decoración en su casa.

ESTE ES EL PASO A PASO PARA HACER ESTAS PINTURITAS:

MATERIALES:

• Caballetes y lienzos tamaño mini (los pueden encontrar en tiendas de manualidades)
• Pintura de colores vibrantes para manualidades
• Pincel goma espuma
• Marcador Sharpie plateado

INSTRUCCIONES:

1. Pinta los lienzos de colores diferentes, usa variedad de un tono para cada lienzo, por ejemplo, cuando pintamos el lienzo rojo, usamos rojo y naranja, los dos juntos para que nos diera un fondo más intenso. El verde, usamos verde claro y verde oscuro, y así sucesivamente. Deja secar completamente.
2. Con mucho cuidado dibuja las catrinas con Sharpie en los mini lienzos. Verás como toman vida instantáneamente!!
