I love to help with decorating and/or any type of creative planning so when my friend Vanessa asked me to help with her Baby Shower favors I accepted immediately!
I’m always looking at so many cute ideas online, especially on Instagram and Pinterest. But lately, I don’t have much time to make them in real life, so let’s get to it!
We started to think about what to do for favors and I thought of the idea of giving plants because they are so pretty and useful, something that people won’t through away. They are so cute that I even did a special photo shoot when I had them all before making them into favors!
Once we had the little succulents and cactus, I started looking for more concrete ideas on Pinterest, there are tons! It was difficult to choose, but we did and decided to make them with colorful paper, the result was very cute!
Here is how I made the mini succulent favors:
You will need:
- Mini Succulents and cacti
- Mini pots of your choice
- Scrapbooking patterned paper (preferably printed on both sides)
- Wrap template, download here
- Double sided tape
- Mini clothespins
- Circle punch
- White or black marker
Instructions:
We bought the cacti and succulents on this page, they are perfect for favors and they offer them in lots of different sizes. We ordered the little ones 2 ” in the regular plastic pot. You can also order special pots but I found them at a much better price at the dollar store, three little white pails for one dollar!
- Plant the succulents on the pots (if you bought them separately).
- Cut the paper using this guide.
- Wrap the plants with the paper and stick the ends with tape.
- Use the circle punch to cut the paper and make the labels.
- Write your message with the marker on each label and attach them to each plant with the mini clothespins.
Extra tip: Make Centerpieces too!
I was also helping to decorate the party and was put in charge of the centerpieces, so I decided to unite the two things, place the favors on pedestals and done, peeeerfect!
Since I don’t have many pedestals to place them, a great solution was to get white dishes and candlesticks at the 99cts store, I glued them with a strong glue (I was inspired here) and voalá! I placed the favors and in the middle of each pedestal I placed another white pail with soil and stuck cupcake sticks that were from the Baby Shower decoration theme, they were perfect! The centerpieces are useful, budget friendly and easy to do!

July 8, 2018 at 5:53 pmHi there! I did Google translate for your comment and it seems you are trying to get my template but for a bigger plant. I would print the template and use a copy machine to enlarge it until you have it to the size you need. Hope that helps!
