5 Bedtime Tips

In honor of the cutest little video out there and our bedtime routine, I wanted to bring you 5 bedtime tips to help kids go to bed easier:

1. Have them take a bath. It's amazing how much this helps! The water soothes them and makes them so much calmer!
2. Same time every night. Try to establish a time and always stick to it, otherwise it will get out of control and the kids will want to do it late and later each night.
3. A story does wonders. They look forward to this every night, we ask them: do you want Mami or Daddy to read you a story? Right now Maya just wants to read herself but I'm sure that will change again!
4. A glass of milk before bed. We call it "lechita" and it helps them sleep better.
5. Let them hang out in the room. Many times the kids will say they aren't tired to go to bed. We tell them it's mami and daddy's time alone and that they can play quietly in their room.

En honor al video más cute que hay ahorita :) y de nuestra rutina de ir a dormir, hoy les quiero dar 5 tips para la hora de ir a dormir de los niños:

1. El baño. Es increible lo que ayuda! Juegan a gusto ahí en el agua por un rato y los relaja mucho!
2. A la misma hora todas las noches. Trata de establecer una hora y no la cambies, esto les ayuda a ellos y a ti para que no la vayan cambiando todas las noches mas tarde!
3. Un cuento hace maravillas. Lo están esperando todas las noches y les preguntamos: Quiéres que lo lea mami o papi? Les emociona elejir! Aunque ahorita Maya lo que quiere es leerlo ella (vean el video aquí!) pero ya se le pasará, estoy segura!
4. Un vaso de leche antes de ir a dormir. Nosotros le decimos lechita y les ayuda a dormir mejor.
5. Déjalos que jueguen en su cuarto. Muchas veces los niños nos dicen que no están cansados y o tienen sueño, nosotros les decimos que es hora de que mami y papi tengan un tiempo a solas y que se pueden quedar en su cuarto jugando calladitos hasta que les de sueño.
