When you are a mom there are certain parts of the trade that are your favorites and that you might become obsessed with, for no reason. For example, my favorite “things” to obsess with are kid’s bath toys and kid’s tableware, every time I see some I want them!!
Even though the kiddos are growing out of bath toys I still love them so much!! Mayita is the one that plays with them more often now. I’ve never posted about this, but many years ago, when the kids were tiny and they played so much during bath time, they started squirting black thingies out of the toys!! Gross!!
That means mold is growing inside the toys. So, I learned that to prevent that from happening, you must disinfect them often. I learned that it is recommended that we do it at least once a month. And you know what, it’s super easy!
This is the best way to clean bath toys:
- Mix* the toys with a solution of ½ cup Clorox Regular-Bleach per one gallon of water in a bucket
- Make sure to squirt the solution in the toys so they get clean inside
- Soak for 5 minutes or more (depending on how dirty the toys are)
- Squirt the solution out
- Rinse with water and squirt the water out
- Air dry
*Use as directed and wear gloves during this process. Make sure to do it while your kids are not close by. Keep bleach out of reach of children.

I also use Clorox Regular-Bleach to clean the kid’s bathroom because if you have boys, you probably know how it smells!!#%*@## If I don’t use it, I usually don’t feel like I am cleaning the bathroom well, and it will never smell clean! Seriously, if you have boys, bleach in the bathroom is your solution!
While I still obsess a little over bath toys, I don’t buy them anymore but I looove to see Mayita playing happily when she takes baths. My heart grows bigger every time and I often take out the camera to document those precious moments 🙂

LIMPIEZA DE PRIMAVERA: LA MEJOR MANERA DE LAVAR JUGUETES DEL BAÑO
Cuando se es mamá, hay ciertas partes del oficio que son como que las partes favoritas y que a lo mejor se puede uno llegar a obsecionar sin razón alguna. Por ejemplo, una de mis “cosas” favoritas con lasque me obseciono a veces son los juguetes de baño para los nenes y los platicos, vasos y cubiertos para niños, ¡son tan cute!! ¡Cada vez que veo unos los quiero!!
A pesar de que los nenes están creciendo y ya no usan tantos los juguetes del baño todavía me gustan mucho. Mayita es la que más juega con ellos ahora. Nunca les había contado esto, pero hace algunos años, cuando los niños estaba chiquiticos y jugaban mucho tiempo en la bañera, derepente comenzó a salir chorros de agua con cositas negras de los juguetes! ¡¡Asco!!
Esto significa (las cositas negras) que hay moho creciendo dentro de los juguetes. Entonces, aprendí que para evitar que esto suceda, se deben desinfectar a menudo. Aprendí que lo recomiendan al menos una vez al mes. Y saben qué, ¡es muy fácil!
Esta es la mejor manera de limpiar juguetes de baño:
- En un tobo mezcla* una solución de ½ taza de Clorox Regular-Bleach por un galón de agua y mete los juguetes
- Asegúrate de llenar y exprimir la solución en los juguetes para que se limpien por dentro
- Deja remojar durante 5 minutos o más (dependiendo de lo sucio que estén los juguetes)
- Exprimir la solución
- Enjuagar con agua y exprímanle toda el agua
- Deja secar al aire libre
* Usar como se indica y con guantes durante este proceso. Asegúrate de hacerlo mientras que los niños no están cerca. Mantenga el blanqueador fuera del alcance de los niños.
¡Ven! ¿No les preció fácil?
También uso Clorox Regular-Bleach para limpiar el baño de los niños porque si tienes varones, probablemente saben cómo huele de feo a veces!! #% * @ ## Si no uso el cloro, normalmente no siento que estoy limpiando el baño bien, y nunca olerá limpio. En serio, que si tienen varones, ¡usar un poco de clor en el baño es su solución!
Aunque todavía me obseciono un poco con los juguetes de baño de los nenes, no los compro más, pero como me fascina ver a Mayita jugando feliz cuando está en la bañera. Mi corazón se me infla cada vez y bueno saco mi cámara de vez en cuando para documentar esos momentos hermosos 🙂
